Why should I attend a reading camp?

If you’re passionate about books but don’t have people in your life to share that passion with or if you find it hard to make new friends as an adult, our reading camps are for you! 

How old do participants have to be?

Participants must be 18 years old or older.

I don’t want to do some of the activities. Is that ok?

Absolutely! You can choose not to take part in an activity and relax at the Ranch instead.

I am not a great hiker. Is that a problem?

Absolutely not! Our hikes are all-level and we’ll adapt our pace accordingly.

Do you offer private rooms?

Unfortunately, there are no private rooms at the Ranch. 

Are travel costs included in the price?

No, travel costs are not included in the price.

How can I come to the Ranch?

The Ranch is accessible by train and bus (Train to Sion, then Car Postal to Evolène Planchet) or by car. There are free parking spots available. Before the camp, a WhatsApp group will be created where participants can plan their trip and carpool if possible.

Do I have to be a native speaker/speak English perfectly?

Absolutely not! As long as you can read and communicate in English you are welcome to our camps. Don't worry if you have an accent or make mistakes, that's totally fine! Our camps are not language classes however it can be a great way to practice your English ;-)
